She is trained in various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She works from a trauma-informed, internal family systems and existential therapy lens.
One aspect of her work dear to her heart is that of palliative care, grief, loss and bereavement work. Through counselling and support, she’s walked with individuals, children and their families through their anticipatory grief and along their loss journey. Tarah has provided Support With Healing – healing emotionally, socially, psychologically, relationally and spiritually. She has also worked extensively in the area of caregiver burnout and has been witness to the often-unspoken toll, this can take on caregivers and families – this form of disenfranchised grief is very real and can become debilitating.
